Thanks to an article in Slate, I discovered this early test of Kodak’s Kodachrome color film done in 1922. I didn’t know that color film was being experimented on so early in cinema’s history (although I see now that color tests were happening well before 1922, see the video from 1902 below). This simple film shows various 1920s unknown actresses in different costumes mugging for the camera. Even though Kodachrome was discontinued in 2009, it’s effect on 20th century culture will remain unchanged, as Paul Simon once said
