What if we minded the gap?
As many know, today’s economy is especially tough for entrepreneurs. So for KBC Bank, the Belgian bank for entrepreneurs, they decided to give them a boost. Conducting a nationwide survey, KBC identified “gaps” in towns across Belgium: places
where citizens lacked in bakeries, child care, and other goods and services. The survey yielded over 6 million contributions and was put into a large database whose goal was to encourage entrepreneurs to set up shop in towns where there was a “gap”. Thanks to this initiative, 1500 business ideas were put into practice. A great win for KBC, Belgian entrepreneurs, and TBWA\Brussels who took home 1 Gold Lion in Direct, 1 Silver Lion in Media, and 1 bronze in Promo & Activation.
