Polar is a beer brand from southern Brazil, a region known for its accent and two ferocious football rivals: Internacional and Grêmio. When deciding which team to offically sponsor, Polar
decided to let the fans decide. Polar gave each team 50,000 reals, fans could go online and decide to “rob” the opposing team of a real and give it to their respective team. After 300,000 transactions Grêmio won the sponsorship, but Polar didn’t lose any of its fans!
