What if your detractors became your endorsers?
I read about this story today in the Guardian. The Alamo Drafthouse movie theatre in Austin, Texas has a strict policy forbidding cell phone use. If you’re caught talking on your phone, or even texting, you have to leave the theatre.
One texting moviegoer was so vexed at being kicked out, that she left an over the top voicemail on the Drafthouse’s customer service line exoriating the policy all the while making herself look a little ridiculous. The Drafthouse decided to make the most of the voicemail and they now use it as their PSA against texting before the movie begins. Of course, due to the coarse language, this little gem is reserved for “R” rated movies only… enjoy!
