What if we didn’t look back?
Today’s been a great day for interesting ads. After the Nissan Polar Bear ad for the Leaf (which is just beautiful) comes a very clever spot from Google.
By using the iconic opening scene to “Don’t Look Back”, Google demonstrates the rapidity of Google Instant, its newest buttonless search engine. What I love about the opening of “Don’t Look Back” is Dylan’s nonchalant attitude as he throws cue cards containing some of his classically elliptical lyrics. Google’s rejoinder is really great.
According to Gawker, this hommage to Dylan may be some subtle swipe at Apple (Dylan after all, is one of Steve Job’s heros), who knows, really. All I can say is that the combination of this ad and the one for Nissan Leaf has made my day!
