What if this was the best cause campaign of the year?

Today I had the pleasure of attending the award ceremony for the best non-profit campaign of the year.  The so-called “Prix de la Campagne Citoyenne” is organized by the French advertising trade group the AACC.  This year’s big winner, I am proud to announce, goes to TBWA\PARIS for their moving “Death to the Death Penalty” film for Amnesty International.  See the above video.

I always admire the work that TBWA\Paris does for Amnesty.  One of my favorite videos became an instant classic when it came out in 2007.  Titled “Signatures” it shows just how important taking action– even through signing a petition– can be for people around the world.

The music is “Everyday” by Carly Comando, and it was used even earlier than that:

“Noah takes a photo of himself every day for 6 years.” — 23,4 million views and counting 😉
