What if access to potable water were an absolute priority?
Today is World Water Day. Unclean drinking water is the number one cause of death worldwide, bringing about mortal illnesses like cholera, typhoid, malaria, diarrhea and trachoma for some 8 million people, 1.8 million of whom are children.
To raise awareness of this global health problem, the humanitarian group SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL created an ambitious public event around a wall of water. This ephemeral installation, created by the agency BDDP Unlimited provides thought provoking messages about potable water. See the above video of the water wall at the Place du Palais Royal in Paris.
