Love this? LIVE THERE! That is Airbnb’s message in this new campaign launched by TBWA\Chiat\Day, which fits into the brand’s global strategy of the last couple of years, “Belong Anywhere.”
Warning: this series of films will make you want to immediately pack your bags and fly away to an exotic destination, and maybe even take advantage of the special promotional offer to stay in a treehouse, inspired by the upcoming release of The Jungle Book in 3D on April 15th. $100 off for booking a Treehouse, sounds like an ideal opportunity to climb back into childhood!
Everyone hates going to a concert and realizing your favorite band or singer is lip-synching. But there’s lip-synching and lip-synching.
In this ad just released by TBWA\Chiat\Day for the 58th Annual Grammy Music Awards, a man gets off a bus and as he walks along the street, the album covers of all five nominees for Album of the Year start to lip-synch – and it’s impossible to not enjoy the mash-up of these great tracks.
Album of the Year is the most prestigious award of the Grammy’s, and is meant to “honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position.” Last year it was given to Beck for “Morning Phase”, and previously it was awarded to Daft Punk, Mumford & Sons, Adele, Arcade Fire, the Dixie Chicks, Ray Charles, Outkast, Norah Jones, Santana, Lauryn Hill, Celine Dion, Alanis Morissette, Tony Bennett, Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, Natalie Cole, Bonnie Raitt, U2, Michael Jackson, John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Carol King, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, and Frank Sinatra, to name a few… So who deserves to be in the same pool – Kendrick Lamar, Alabama Shakes, Taylor Swift*, The Weeknd, or Chris Stapleton?
(Taylor Swift already won Album of the Year in 2010.)
